"To be the best that we can be"

18th May

Competition Time!

Aldi are running a competition to design your own re-usable bag.  This fits in perfectly with our work on plastic in the oceans!

Click on the link below and design your creation.  Please remember to take a photo of your finished design and send it to me for our Wall of Fame board at school!

Sun Safe!

So it looks like the sunshine is heading our way (for a few days at least!).  Remember as well as staying safe at home, we need to stay safe in the sun by following these simple rules: -

* Wear a sun hat

* Sit in the shade when you can

* Drink plenty of water

* Wear sun cream

You can also look at the link below for more information about staying safe in the sun!

Hope you are all okay and remember to send us some pictures of you enjoying the sunshine!

Good morning year 6,

It has been lovely to see more of you accessing Purple Mash and we have enjoyed looking at some of your work and photos from home. They are in the 'Hall of Fame' section of the class page. We have also been monitoring your TTRS accounts and a couple of you have got certificates on the 'Good Work' section.

We have got something a bit different for you this week, an idea shared by Mrs Dunderdale, which we think is lovely....

Random Acts of Kindness!

This week, we are thinking about random acts of kindness in an attempt to inspire kindness in unforeseen times. We would love to find out about the ways in which you and your family are spreading kindness. We have included a list from the Mental Health Foundation to inspire you but we are sure that you will have lots of your own ideas. This is what we would like you to do:

1)Pick an item from the list below
2)Take action
3)Share the kindness  by emailing me us ( or and we will showcase your kind act in our class gallery.
