"To be the best that we can be"




You will need:

- 100g butter

- 150g self-raising flour

- 150g caster sugar

-3 tablespoons milk

-2 eggs

-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


For the icing you will need:

- 100g butter

- 225g icing sugar 

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Picture 4 Put 12 bun cases onto a tray ready for the mixture

Before you start, ask an adult to preheat the oven 180 degrees/Fan  or 160 degrees/gas mark 4.

Picture 1 Measure the butter, flour and sugar into a bowl.
Picture 2 Add the vanilla extract.
Picture 3 Add the eggs.
Picture 4 Add the milk.
Picture 5 Mix everything together until smooth.
Picture 6 Seperate the mixture into the cases.
Picture 7 Spread equally to ensure the buns are similar size
Picture 8 Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

While you are waiting for the buns to bake, you can now start on the icing.

Picture 1 Measure the butter,icing sugar and vanilla extract
Picture 2 Mix thoroughly until it is thick and smooth.
Picture 3 Get a bit of washing up done while you wait!
Picture 4 Take out oven when golden brown (Ask an adult).
Picture 5 Now, leave them to cool before icing them.

Now time to decorate!

Picture 1 Spread the icing using the back of a spoon.
