Maths, maths and more maths


The White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of five maths lessons for each year group from Year 1-6. They will be adding five lessons each week. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.

Weekly learning games and quizzes


Lancashire Professional Development Service TV has been devised for teachers, parents and children, offering short and simple tips, games and activities to keep children engaged with home learning. Each episode lasts around 10 minutes and will be available for free on the Learning Excellence YouTube channel and Facebook page on a weekly basis. Each episode will go live at 9.30am every Monday.

Episode One features maths magic, history around the home, super sentences and a short quiz. 


The answers to each quiz will be given out the following week on the next episode. 

BBC Bitesize

BBC Bitesize offers a wealth of resources for learners of all ages - click the link and explore.  Do not forget to ask your child what topics they have been studying recently.



A site packed with interactive phonics games, phonics planning, assessment ideas and many teaching ideas and resources to help children with their phonics.

Read Write Inc

Read Write Inc are publishing daily videos of phonics lessons. Each day they will publish a set 1 video, set 2 video and set 3 video. 

Each video follows the same teaching steps as the children use in school so the learning will be familiar to them. The videos will be available for 24 hours each day. Please take a look and encourage your children to participate in their daily phonics lessons.
