Monday 1st February
Phonics
Today’s phonics lesson will be on zoom at 10.30am.
In this lesson I will recap the set 1 sounds and green words. I will then introduce our first set 2 sound ‘ay’. We will then read the green words: day, may, say, play, way, spray and have a go at writing these words so please have a pencil and some paper ready with you. If you cannot join us for the zoom session, please practise reading and writing these words when you can. This lesson can be adapted as needed for your child by only writing a couple of words or by using the words to write a sentence or two.

PSHE
This week (1st-7th February) is ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’ and it is especially important this year that we acknowledge it! This years theme is ‘Express Yourself’ where we will encourage children (and adults) to explore the different ways we can express ourselves, and the creative ways that we can share our feelings, our thoughts and our ideas. For further information please click on the link below.

At the bottom of this page I have put a ‘Today’s Mood’ page that your child can complete and discuss with you daily. I have also put a ‘Monster Zones’ page for you to help your child to think and talk about their emotions and how they are feeling. Also, there is a ‘My Feelings Monster’ activity for your child to complete.
