Ightenhill Primary School

To be the best that we can be.

An introduction from the new Headteacher

Hello everybody,

My name is Sean Crosier and in January, I will be taking on the role of Headteacher at Ightenhill.

I am currently the Headteacher at Greenhill Primary School in Bury. Previously to this I was for 7 years the Headteacher at Huncoat Primary School in Lancashire.

I am looking forward to the exciting challenge of leading Ightenhill and working with the pupils, families and staff who make up the Ightenhill school community.

Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two boys currently aged 18 and 14 and my wife works as a Teaching Assistant in a Lancashire Primary School. During the first lockdown we acquired Albert the Cockapoo and he is settling into our family unit.

My pastimes away from school include mountain biking, hill walking, off road motorcycling and travelling. At quieter times I enjoy reading and listening to music (my favourite band is James).

I am looking forward to meeting everybody at Ightenhill in January and to get to know the school community.
