On Friday, we celebrated red, white and blue day. This was in commemoration of 75 years since the Battle of Britain. During the week, the children learnt what happened during the Battle of Britain and why it was so important to our history. Also we had a visit from a real soldier who told us all about what army life was like. To help raise some money for the armed forces, the children all came dressed in red white and blue on Friday 9th October. During the day, the children did some writing about what life would have been like being an evacuee and what life would have been like for the soldiers. Also as part of our health education we made and tried red, white and blue foods.
