Thursday 4th February
Today’s phonics lesson will be on zoom at 10.30am.
In this lesson I will recap the previous sounds and our new set 2 sound ‘ee’. After that we will ‘Fred Talk’ the green words: see, been, seen, three, green, sleep again and have a practise at writing a couple of these words. We will also play a game too! For this session please have lined and plain paper and a pencil/pen with you.
If you cannot join us for the zoom session, please practise reading and writing these words when you can. This lesson can be adapted as needed for your child by only writing a couple of words or by using the words to write a sentence or two.
Please complete ‘The Bee Tree’ activity. For this activity please read the story with your child. After you have read the story together, they can highlight all the words that have the ‘ee’ sound and then colour in the pictures. This will be in the portfolio section titled ‘The Bee Tree – Thursday 4th February’.
Start by watching Numberblocks-series 3: flatland
This afternoon the children will be completing the 2D shapes colouring pictures. Your child can choose which picture they would like to colour and feel free to colour in as many as you choose. Please see the PDF for ‘2D Shapes Colouring – Thursday 4th February’.
At 2.30pm there will be a zoom session. In this session we will be focusing on 2D shapes and playing a game. I will also be reading a story so you are welcome to bring a teddy and blanket with you.
This week (1st-7th February) is ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’ and it is especially important this year that we acknowledge it! For further information please click on the link below.
Please continue to complete ‘Today’s Mood’ daily with your child and encourage them to talk about how they are feeling. Please also continue with the ‘express yourself calendar’ which has lots of activities for your child to enjoy having a go at.
Mrs Jones our PE subject leader has sent me a link (see below) for family fitness which has different fitness workouts for families to do something active together. The workouts are uploaded from youtube so please be aware of this.
