"To be the best that we can be"

Tuesday 19th January

Good evening,

Here are the activities ready for tomorrow. Please join me for our zoom sessions at 10.30am and 2.30pm. Please see classdojo for the zoom links.

Tuesday  19th January

Today’s phonics lesson will be on zoom at 10.30am.

In this lesson I will recap the sounds from yesterday and focus on the sounds i, n, p, g, and o. We will be reading the green words: got, sit, an, pan, top, it. We will then have a go at writing some words so please have a pencil and some paper ready with you. If you cannot join us for the zoom session, please practise reading and writing these words when you can. This lesson can be adapted as needed for your child by only writing a couple of words or by using the words to write a sentence or two.

Please complete the wordsearch. This will be in the portfolio section titled ‘wordsearch – Tuesday 19th January’. Children have to find the words listed and circle them.

In this lesson, we will be using a number track to support counting on to ten. For this lesson you will a number track/line up to 10 and 10 countable objects in 2 different colours. This lesson can be adapted as needed for your child by using bigger numbers and getting them to write the number sentence.

At 2.30pm there will be a zoom maths session.

In this lesson it will be number talk and adding numbers up to 10. Please have a pencil and some paper and 10 countable objects ready.

Understanding the World (My Friends)

In this lesson, we join Mrs Garrard to explore what connects us to our friends. We think about what makes us build friendships with certain people. We create joined paper dolls to represent our connection to our friends. You can extend this lesson by arranging a playdate with a friend.
