Phonics

Today’s phonics lesson will be on zoom at 10.30am (please see the other post for the zoom link).

In this lesson, I will recap all the work we have covered so far this term. We will revise all the ‘special friends’ and new ‘set 2 sounds’ we have covered so far. After that, we will ‘Fred Talk’ some of the green words. We will then have a practise at writing a couple of these words. For this session please have lined and plain paper and a pencil/pen with you.

Afternoon Zoom

At 2.30pm there will be a zoom session (please see the other post for the zoom link).

In this session, we will be completing a few subtractions in preparation for Wednesday’s work so please can you have 15 counters ready. We will also play number bingo so please have a number card with 9 numbers from 0-20 ready.

Understanding the World

In this lesson, we join Miss Sidenius in learning about the different parts of a flower. We use our knowledge to create an observational drawing or painting of a flower, making sure to include all of the different features that we can see. To extend this lesson, you could spot different parts of a plant or flower while out on walk. Does a tree have all of the same parts?
