Wednesday 24th February

Good evening,

Wednesday 24th February

Today’s phonics lesson will be on zoom at 10.30am (please see classdojo for the zoom link).

In this lesson, I will look at the previous sounds and recap our new set 2 sound ‘oo’. After that, we will ‘Fred Talk’ the green words: took, look, book, shook, cook and foot. We will then have a practise at writing these words in a sentence. For this session please have lined paper and a pencil/pen with you.

Please complete the ‘sound maze’ activity.

Start by playing this number song for your child to sing along to

In this lesson the children will be complete the ‘snake subtraction’ activity.

Afternoon Zoom

At 2.30pm there will be a zoom session (please see classdojo for the zoom link).

In this session, we will be play a ‘spot the missing number’ game. For this game please have some paper and pen/pencil with you. We will also have a story so please feel free to bring along a teddy and a blanket.

Understanding the World

I’m sure you have all seen the exciting news about the Mars landing last week! So I thought it would be a really good time to have a look at a ‘space’ unit.

In today's lesson, we are going to learn the difference between a rocket and a spaceship. We will then use construction materials to construct either a rocket or a spaceship. The key areas that this lesson links to are expressive arts and design and communication and language.

Thank you :)
