Wednesday 3rd February
Today’s phonics lesson will be on zoom at 10.30am (please see the other post for the zoom link).
In this lesson I will recap the previous sounds and introduce our new set 2 sound ‘ee’. After that we will ‘Fred Talk’ the green words: see, been, seen, three, green, sleep and have a practise at writing a couple of these words. We will also play a game too! For this session please have lined and plain paper and a pencil/pen with you.
If you cannot join us for the zoom session, please practise reading and writing these words when you can. This lesson can be adapted as needed for your child by only writing a couple of words or by using the words to write a sentence or two.
Please complete the ‘ee activity’. This will be in the portfolio section titled ‘ee activity – Wednesday 3rd February’.
Start by playing this number song for your child to sing along to
This afternoon the children will be completing subtraction number sentences. Please see the portfolio section for ‘subtractions from 12 – Wednesday 3rd February’.
At 2.30pm there will be a zoom session (please see the other post for the zoom link). In this session we will be focusing on 2D shapes and we will play a shape game or two! For this session please have some plain paper and a pen/pencil with you.
This week (1st-7th February) is ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’ and it is especially important this year that we acknowledge it! For further information please click on the link below.
Please continue to complete ‘Today’s Mood’ daily with your child and encourage them to talk about how they are feeling. I have also added an ‘express yourself calendar’ for your child to enjoy having a go at.
Mrs Jones our PE subject leader has sent me a link (see below) for family fitness which has different fitness workouts for families to do something active together. The workouts are uploaded from youtube so please be aware of this.
