"To be the best that we can be"

Week beginning the 11th May

Monday 11th May

Hi Class 11,

I hope you’re all well and staying safe at home.

It’s been lovely hearing from some of you and finding out what you’ve been up to. Some of you have been incredibly busy at home gardening, baking and writing. I thought painting 15 fence panels was an achievement but year 5, you are amazing!

I’m sure many of you have noticed your work popping up on our ‘What have you done at home’ link. I have enjoyed reading your writing, seeing your pictures and looking at your book reviews. Some of you are working exceptionally hard – keep it up! I have also enjoyed seeing your VE day challenges – Mr Farrar will be very impressed.

Miss Astin says hello and misses you all so much. She has been busy this week completing some cake raffles, raising a fantastic amount of £200 for Pendleside Hospice. She has a new hamster called Ivy and has unfortunately burnt her face sitting in the sunshine – silly Miss Astin!

I spent Thursday at school creating 'Saltdough Lockdown' handprints with Mrs Duckworth and the children who were in. I have completed another book and have started a new one just this morning.

I am missing you a lot year 5 and hope to see you very soon. If you would like to send any photos of things you’ve been up to or simply send me a message, email me on:

Take care and stay safe,
