We are committed to turning our vision into everyday experiences that make a genuine difference to our children.

At Ightenhill, we aim to:

• Have high expectations and ambitions for every child, ensuring that all pupils, including those with additional needs or facing disadvantage, receive the support and challenge they need to succeed.

• Deliver a rich, broad and ambitious curriculum that builds knowledge, develops skills, inspires curiosity and provides meaningful opportunities for every learner.

• Develop confident readers, writers and communicators, placing language, literacy and a love of reading at the heart of learning across the curriculum.

OUR SCHOOL VALUES

Our values are much more than words displayed around school. They guide our relationships, shape our behaviour, influence our learning and help us make positive choices every day.

Through assemblies, classroom learning, celebrations and everyday interactions, we encourage children to understand, demonstrate and reflect upon these values.

We recognise and celebrate children who put our values into practice, whether through their learning, their friendships, their determination or the kindness they show to others.

Together, our values help us create a school community where everyone belongs, everyone matters and everyone is encouraged to be the best that we can be.
