A Jewish Faith Friend came to visit Ightnehill. Joyce talked to the children about her life and shared some Jewish customs with the children.

On Ash Wednesday, Reverend Rick visited school to talk to children about Lent.

Farheen from Building Bridges came into visit Years 1, 2, 5 and 6. She talked about her life and beliefs as a Muslim.

Year 1 made Christingles.

Reverend Rick visited Year 1 to talk about baptism ceremonies. We enjoyed joining in with the baptism of Pooh Bear.

The children in EYFS, Years 1, 2 and 5 were visited by Amy, who spoke about her Jewish faith.

Our 'faith friend' Rehana came to visit us to talk about the Islamic faith.

Reverend Rick from Padiham Road Methodist Church, visited school to talk to the children about Advent. He explained why it is an important time for Christian people, and how told us about how Christian people celebrate this special time. 

Year 1 have been learning about the features of a baptism ceremony. They enjoyed holding a baptism for baby Elizabeth.

 

To celebrate harvest, we brought in lots of tins and packets of food. These are being donated to our local food bank. They will then be distributed to families in the local area who need a little helping hand.
