Ightenhill Primary School

"To be the best that we can be"

Welcome

WELCOME TO IGHTENHILL PRIMARY SCHOOL.

I am Sean Crosier, and in January 2021 I will be taking on the role of Headteacher at Ightenhill,  I am excited and passionate about the challenge of leading the pupils, parents, staff and governors of our fantastic school.

Ightenhill Primary is a friendly, caring school where every child is important and where the staff work hard and encourage all children to achieve their potential. We pride ourselves on being family-friendly school where you will find enthusiastic and well trained staff, well equipped classrooms and high expectations that all children can succeed, all of which contribute to offering the best in primary education for your child.

Your partnership with us is crucial and we are proud of our strong links with parents. We like to involve parents in all aspects of school life, to share their children’s excitement, enthusiasm and to celebrate their success. Working together, we hope that your child’s important, early steps in life will be happy and successful.

We aim to inspire learning through a rich and stimulating environment that enables all children, whatever their ability or interests, to acquire knowledge, skills and understanding of the world in which they live.

Every Friday, you will receive a newsletter highlighting the week’s events and giving you information on what is happening in school. The newsletter also shares the children’s successes and focuses on achievement, both academic and social.

We hold various parent’s events throughout the year but hope you will feel that you can come into school to discuss any matter with us relating to your child’s progress or well-being whenever the need arises.

We welcome prospective parents who would like to visit. I hope that you will be amongst them and very much look forward to welcoming you to our school.

Please enjoy our website which has lots of information about the school and of course is a celebration of learning.
